Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
